Prison Tower - Panoramic

Built in the 16th century by order of the judges, councilors, and the council's procurator, as a symbol of the municipality's power.

From here, one can see the 16th-century nucleus of the town and its main buildings from that period.

A sturdy tower, crowned with battlements, with a 16th-century door, it had a clock and a bell with which the mayor would summon assemblies.

It had an adjacent building, the former town hall, and was converted into a prison in the early decades of the 20th century.
