Foz de Alge - Panoramic

Booking

Surrounded by the natural landscape of the Zêzere basin, the cold waters of the Ribeira de Alge flow here.

It is the ideal place to enjoy river fish-based gastronomy: bass, carp, barbel, and bream.

In an instant, we reach the Sport Fishing Track, upstream from the old Poeiro weir.

Heading towards the bridge, it crosses the Ribeira de Alge, where you can contemplate the old forges of Foz de Alge, a testament to the industrial past of this region.

It is also here, opposite the forges, that "ExHumus II", the second chapter of Tiago Francez's intervention, rests as part of the Esporo Project.

Continuing towards Valbom, it is time to stop at the viewpoint and appreciate the landscape, as well as the beauty of the mural by artist Taquen, "Garças-reais: sobre a vida lenta, as viagens distantes e o trabalho em equipa" ("Grey Herons: about slow living, distant journeys, and teamwork"), painted during the Fazunchar festival.

A small detour takes us to the first chapter of Tiago Francez, "ExHumus I," located at the Lavadouro (washing place) of Foz de Alge.

The journey continues to Valbom, where the breathtaking landscapes of the banks of the Zêzere River leave us breathless.
