Sanctuary of Divino Senhor da Serra
Booking
Built on the site of an ancient hermitage, already known in the 17th century, the current sanctuary is a renowned pilgrimage site, designed by António Augusto Gonçalves.
Aesthetically, it reflects the revivalist style in vogue in the late 19th century. The main altarpiece is inspired by that of the Old Cathedral of Coimbra, while the side altarpieces come from the Church of Misericórdia in Coimbra.
