Universalist Ecumenical Temple
Booking
Inaugurated on September 11, 2016, the Universalist Ecumenical Temple is a place for spiritual reflection for people of different religions, open to non-believers, promoting fundamental values of humanity and religions such as Truth, Goodness, and Morality.
The Temple emphasizes tolerance and respect for differences.
It represents the creation of humanity by Homo Sapiens, the inventor of spirituality, fraternity, and the pursuit of truth.
The Temple is a monument dedicated to Peace, honoring the victims of fundamentalism and religious intolerance.
It houses a Religions Observatory, providing visitors with facts, chronological data, and information about the history and evolution of the 15 most significant religious perspectives.
It includes an area dedicated to intolerance and conflicts based on religious differences.
It is worth noting that the project "Parque Biológico da Serra da Lousã / Templo Universalista" was chosen in 2014 to represent Portugal in the UNESCO MADANJEE SINNGH International Award for the promotion of tolerance and non-violence.
