In 1994, Pedro Gama and Lurdes Henriques opened the restaurant with one idea in mind – to share the best of Portuguese and Castanheira cuisine with people.

With nearly 30 years, the restaurant "O Gil" serves daily a plate full of flavor and a smile to brighten our customers' day.

Located in Castanheira de Pera, O Gil offers typical regional dishes: roasted kid with baked potatoes and chanfana with boiled potatoes.

In addition, it serves two daily specials (one meat and one fish) to ensure our visitors have plenty of options.
