In November 2021, the "Folião Malandrão" project emerged at the request of some revelers from the Carnival Race, aiming to create new types of masks.

These masks differ from others due to their more rustic style, utilizing the natural texture of cork, creating a more devilish and frightening appearance.

Each year, a significant number of masks are crafted and are available for sale at the Loja do Xisto in the village of Aigra Nova, as well as at the Góis Tourist Office.

Fernando Rosa has conducted several workshops on his art at various local and national events.
