Founded in 1968, the Cooperativa Social e Agro-Florestal de Vila Nova do Ceira (Vila Nova do Ceira Social and Agro-Forestry Cooperative) promotes local development by managing the forest heritage of Góis. It blends tradition and modernity, investing in olive growing, beekeeping, and tourism, recognized as an IPSS since 2011 and awarded the Góis Merit Medal in 2018. The Cooperative owns a headquarters with a shop, olive press, honey production facility, and the Olive Press-Museum (2012). In 2015, it opened the Capela da Costeira Multi-Purpose Space, and in 2020, the Honey Hotel was approved, a 3-star rural hotel with 18 rooms, a restaurant, and pools overlooking the Ceira River. With brands like Azeite Gorgulão and Mel Casa da Costeira (Gold Medal 2018), it promotes regional products and activities like mountain biking and hiking, enhancing local culture and attracting visitors for unique experiences in Góis.
