At the top of Serra do Carvalho, at an altitude of about 450 meters, strong winds blow, giving rise to the Windmills, harnessing this form of energy to grind cereals.

Corn, wheat, and rye were produced by the owners of the villages closest to the mountain, leading to agricultural and manufacturing structures in ancient times, evidenced by the structures that still endure today.
