A Casa Bacalhau (The Codfish House) is an establishment that began its activity around the year 1907 and has been passed down through several generations of the family, consolidating itself into a typical restaurant, currently managed by Sandra Bacalhau Restauração Unipessoal, Lda.

It is known for its dishes such as Bacalhau à Lagareiro, Chanfana com sopas de casamento, Bucho Recheado, Arroz de Cabidela, Broa Caseira, among many others. The variety of homemade desserts, made with local products, is also noteworthy, such as the carrot, orange and Licor Beirão cake and the Licor Beirão lime pudding.

Open for lunch service from Monday to Saturday and for dinners, by prior arrangement, for groups of more than 10 adults.
