Dr. Louzã Henriques Ethnographic Museum
Booking
Inaugurated on June 24, 2005 and reopened to the public on September 6, 2020, the Dr. Louzã Henriques Ethnographic Museum combines the dimensions of the dominant Portuguese culture up until the 1950s and 1960s, generally corresponding to the "Rural World."
It houses a collection of items from Dr. Louzã Henriques' private collection as well as the Municipal collection.
Currently, the museum has undergone a remusealization project focused on accessibility and inclusion, emphasizing the understanding, knowledge, conservation, and communication of the heritage collection.
To achieve this, it has incorporated multimedia capabilities, augmented and virtual reality systems, multilingual audio guides and audio descriptions, videos, and images as new communication tools for all audiences.
