Main Church of Lousã
Booking
This building, with undeniable beauty, is highly sought after by visitors to Lousã.
Located in the historic center of the town, it replaced the more modest church that preceded it, being built in modern and attractive lines.
Its spacious interior, richly decorated with religious motifs, reaches its peak in the intricately carved golden altarpiece.
Its patron saint is St. Silvester, and despite dating back to 1882, it was only completed in 1921 with the construction of the Bell Tower.
