The Municipal Museum, located within the Ecomuseum of Serra da Lousã, was reinaugurated on March 9, 2013, in its current facilities.

It is housed in a renovated space with various amenities, while following the initial objectives set by Álvaro Viana de Lemos.

Its diverse collection includes books, coins, prints, artistic objects, as well as simple curiosities and mementos, many of which have been donated by the people of Lousã.

The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions of painting, sculpture, photography, and other forms of art.

Additionally, it serves as the Welcome Center for the Schist Villages, functioning as an entry point and specialized information center about the Schist Villages.
