The Vale do Ninho Houses (Nest Valley Houses) (Pica-pau, Noitibó and Cuco) stem from the reconstruction—using sustainable construction techniques and energy efficiency methods—of former stone houses and haylofts located in Vale do Ninho, at the entrance to the Schist Village of Ferraria de São João.

These historic buildings were original built during the 19th century.

The property underwent a complete renovation to ensure high levels of comfort for our guests year-round.

Opened in 2014 following a painstaking reconstruction process designed by architect Pedro Brígida, 3 accommodation units are available for rent.

They feature distinct layouts, consisting of two studios and one independent villa.

Each unit accommodates up to 3 to 5 guests, with a combined total capacity of 13 guests.

Additionally, the Noitibó and Cuco houses can be internally connected when rented together, providing a single house with a maximum capacity of 8 guests.
