Villa Romana do Rabaçal Museum Space
Booking
This museum constitutes one of the three nuclei that help us to understand the Roman presence in the territory.
The archaeological finds on display, “Villa Romana do Rabaçal: once upon a time...”, are testimonies of its former owners, their daily actions, their relationship with their peers and with the environment.
This visit is completed with a visit to two other locations: the archaeological station, where the visitor can have a more localized perspective on what life would be like in that place, and the visit to the Chanca viewpoint, where you can frame this Roman villa in that which would be the main access route, the old Roman road that connected Bracara Augusta (Braga) to Olisipo (Lisbon), and which crossed precisely this place, the Rabaçal Valley.
